About the role
The client is seeking a Drupal Developer to support the development, maintenance, and administration of Drupal-based websites. The role will focus on front-end development, content management, search functionality, accessibility, website security, and troubleshooting technical issues across the web environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and update website content—including text, images, and multimedia elements—using Drupal as the Content Management System (CMS).
- Assist in the placement of web site content, ensuring consistency, accuracy, appropriateness, timeliness, and compliance with graphic and WCAG accessibility standards.
- Implement service-related links to other County departments and/or Federal, State, and Local agencies.
- Ensure website security by regularly updating software, plugins, and themes, implementing security protocols, and monitoring for vulnerabilities.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to website functionality, server configuration, and user access, collaborating with IT support and external vendors as needed.
Requirements
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development languages and frameworks.
- Proficiency in Drupal search engine technologies including Solr.
- Experience with front-end development on the Drupal platform and web hosting environments.
- Knowledge of website security best practices, including SSL/TLS encryption, firewalls, and malware detection/prevention.
