Drums instructor needed in Port Arthur, TX

About the role

Taylor Robinson Music is hiring private music instructors, especially for Drums. We do not have a brick-and-mortar studio location in the Port Arthur, TX area, but we have students needing teachers ASAP!

Responsibilities

• Teach drums to students in their homes, in your own home or studio/rehearsal space, or via webcam.
• Set your own schedule and lesson plans.
• Be available to travel to students in the Port Arthur, TX area if needed.
• Communicate regularly with the office about student progress and any issues.
• Ensure all students follow safety protocols including wearing masks, sanitizing hands, and practicing social distancing.

Requirements

• Great with kids and love teaching.
• Organized and punctual for all lessons.
• Must have either a degree in music, enrollment in a music program, professional performing experience, or previous teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Willingness to teach drums.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
• Experience with remote teaching (webcam) is preferred but not required.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to different teaching methods.
• Knowledge of basic drum techniques and music theory.

Pay

You would be paid on an independent contractor basis between $20-$30 per hour dependent on travel time, your experience/education, and your student retention rate.
