About the Role

Achieve sales and profit goals for the Drug/GM department, monitor quality assurance standards, and supervise all department functions. Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions and promoting trust and respect among associates.
- Communicate company, department, and job-specific information; collaborate with associates to achieve goals; promote Our Brands.
- Develop scheduling to manage customer volume during operating hours.
- Develop associates through performance appraisals and establish performance goals for the department.
- Adhere to local, state, federal laws, and company guidelines.
- Gain and maintain product knowledge to assist customers and offer product samples.
- Develop and implement a department business plan; monitor and control expenses.
- Understand store layout, locate products, and create sales promotions.
- Inform associates about promotions, especially those affecting Drug/GM.
- Implement period promotional plans and stay updated on ads.
- Assist in store/department budgeting, profit and loss reviews, and act on financial reports.
- Monitor inventory, note discrepancies, and schedule price changes.
- Train associates on inventory, stocking, and Computer Assisted Ordering (CAO); supervise inventory processes.
- Inspect equipment for preventive maintenance and report issues.
- Report accidents, safety risks, and illegal activities to management.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
- Effective communication skills.
Desired:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Management, Drug-GM, or retail experience.
- Second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing).
