Pay

$24.50/hour - $26.00/hour. After completion of your first year in the role, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon your team and individual performance.

Schedule

40 hours/week. Weekdays: Start between 11:30am–1:00pm, work an 8-hour shift. Weekends: Minimum one day, starting as early as 7:00am for an 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver behind-the-wheel instruction to students of varying ages and experience levels, following AAA’s curriculum and training standards
  • Use our driving school software to track and manage student progress
  • Assess student performance and provide personalized guidance
  • Stay current on safe and defensive driving practices and maintain all required state documentation
  • Travel within a 50-mile radius as needed; a company vehicle with paid gas, maintenance, and insurance is provided

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Minimum of 5 years of driving experience
  • Must obtain state-issued Driving School Instructor license, which includes passing a DMV-required physical exam
  • Must successfully complete a background check and drug screening

Qualifications

  • Experience in driving instruction, education, or the automotive industry
  • Confidence working with the public, especially teens
  • A strong commitment to promoting safe driving habits
  • Flexibility to accommodate student schedules, including weekday afternoons and at least one weekend day
  • Physical ability to sit for extended periods, hear and see in all weather conditions, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Capable of safely assuming control of the vehicle from the passenger seat during instruction or emergency situations
