About the role

This position is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing products, materials, and equipment in the company’s warehouse facility. The Warehouse Worker handles shipping and receiving in an organized, accurate, and timely manner, operates large vehicles and forklifts, and maintains designated equipment and vehicles. The role ensures a safe, organized, and clean warehouse environment at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for shipping and receiving inventory.
  • Maintains records of received inventory and communicates timely to responsible construction personnel.
  • Reviews bills of lading for incoming shipments.
  • Responsible for inventorying products against packing lists.
  • Organizes, stores, and stages products for field distribution.
  • Assists with updating and providing accurate records of inventory.
  • Monitors inventory while keeping precise records of products stored or stocked.
  • Inspects and maintains for safety and mechanical upkeep of vehicles and forklifts.
  • Operates company vehicle, forklift, and other warehouse tools and equipment.
  • Responsible for delivering products using moving vans, box trucks, flatbeds, and equipment trailers.
  • Travels as needed to complete deliveries to and from vendors or job sites.
  • Loads and unloads trucks and delivery vehicles using manual and motorized equipment.
  • Maintains a safe, organized, and clean working environment.
  • Adheres to all aspects of the Health, Safety, and Environmental Program for self-protection and protection of fellow co-workers, sub-contractors, the public, and the client.
  • Performs administrative tasks as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1 - 3 years of related experience or equivalent.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of warehousing, storage, and distribution methods and procedures.
  • Experience with inspection and maintenance for vehicle and forklift safety.
  • Verified experience driving large vehicles (moving vans, box trucks, flatbeds).
  • Shipping and receiving experience, including checking bills of lading for incoming shipments and inventorying product against packing lists.
  • Experience organizing, storing, and staging product for field distribution.
  • Ability to become forklift certified.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Dependable team player with strong communication skills.
  • Planning, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Coordination and inventory control skills.
  • Data entry, reporting, and documenting skills.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain an appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment, along with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Pay

Competitive hourly range of $22.00 to $25.00, considering the candidate’s experience.
