This is a safety-sensitive position.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and unload finished products, parts and materials to customer locations.
- Assist in the warehouse as needed to receive, store and distribute inventory.
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle locally.
- Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs. during physical loading/unloading of trucks.
- Provide excellent customer service; drivers are the most important ambassadors of the company and build relationships with customers.
- Able to read, write and understand English language, as well as use navigation software.
- Shift schedule varies anywhere from 5:30 am to 7:00 am start.
- Assist in the warehouse 20% of the time.
- Perform any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license (required for operating a vehicle for company purposes).
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (10,001–26,000 lbs vehicle).
- Acceptable Department of Motor Vehicle record.
- Flexibility to perform warehouse duties as assigned.
- Eighty percent (80%) of work activities are performed inside the cab of the commercial vehicle; the remainder are performed outdoors.
- Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, including bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
- Good hand-eye coordination, hand dexterity, and physical strength.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, depending on specific job duties.
