What you’ll do
- Command the Fleet & Equipment: Safely transport, load, and unload essential materials and heavy machinery—including Directional Drills, Backhoes/Excavators, Skid Steers, Tractor Trailers, Vacuum Trucks/Trailers, and more.
- Manage Warehouse Operations: Receive, inspect, accurately store, and secure all supplies and materials upon delivery. Assist the warehouse and shop teams with various daily tasks to keep the facility running seamlessly.
- Master DOT Compliance: Ensure all hauled loads are properly secured in strict accordance with DOT and company safety regulations. Keep all required paperwork accessible, maintain accurate hours-of-service logs, and ensure necessary transport permits are secured before hitting the road.
- Support the Field: Travel to and from diverse jobsites and locations, keeping our infrastructure projects supplied (with occasional overnight stays as needed).
- Adapt and Overcome: Perform work confidently in all outdoor weather conditions and take on other duties as assigned to support the crew.
What you’ll need
- CDL Class A License with endorsements (Required)
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States for this company.
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
- 2+ years of experience transporting heavy construction equipment, utility trucks, or performing similar tasks.
- Strong ability to work independently while actively contributing to a team environment.
- Mobility and flexibility to travel and work out of town regularly.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as project demands require.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset backed by effective communication skills.
Physical Abilities & Exposures
- Routinely: Working alone in remote locations and confined spaces; performing tasks with arms raised above shoulder level; operating and transporting commercial vehicles and heavy machinery; executing tasks requiring fine hand motion, bending, stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, sitting, driving long distances, and lifting weights greater than 55 pounds.
- Occasionally: Utilizing ladders and operating standard office tools (keyboard/mouse).
