Duties
- Drive vehicles to designated destinations as assigned.
- Ensure all vehicles are equipped with necessary safety items.
- Provide transportation to and from the center daily for nonresidential students.
- Transport students to and from off-center training, work-based learning, and off-center activities.
- Comply with company and Job Corps travel policies and all Federal travel guidelines.
- Report any accidents or injuries to Supervisors immediately.
- Load and unload products from trucks and trailers, as assigned.
- Perform vehicle inspection such as checking fluid level and tire pressure.
- Ensure students are not transported in the back bed of a pickup truck or other open bed vehicle unless such vehicle has been equipped with appropriate safety restraints.
- Notify supervisors about any major repairs and maintenances.
- Follow local and state driving laws and road regulations.
- Schedule and deliver vehicles for routine preventative or corrective maintenance at approved facilities.
- Perform vehicle inspection before and after each trip.
- Maintain driving log, prepare vehicle performance forms, and complete daily paperwork.
- Provide special care in delivering fragile and hazardous products.
- Submit required reports to the appropriate department head.
- Arrange furniture and equipment for special events.
- Assist skilled maintenance workers with projects.
- Clean buildings and grounds areas as needed.
- Coordinate with skilled maintenance workers and/or assigned supervisor(s).
- Maintain assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, trainings, and seminars.
- Prepare written materials (e.g. repair status, activity logs, etc.).
- Participate in PRH mandated staff training.
- Model, mentor, and monitor career success standards.
- Help students become more employable through continuous reinforcement.
- Participate in PRH mandated staff training. Failure to participate may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
- Comply with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulations, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- A minimum of one year of experience.
- A valid State Driver’s License; a valid Commercial Driver’s License Class B CDL with passenger endorsements required.
Physical Demands
- Regularly sit and stand and walk.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Talk and listen.
- Sometimes lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Job Summary
Job Summary: Transports students and staff to various locations by car, van, or bus for recreational and educational purposes. Performs and documents preventative maintenance, janitorial, or corrective maintenance services, as assigned.
