Driver/Transportation PRN

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (minimum)
• At least one year of experience working with disabled or handicapped individuals
• Five years of driving experience
• Current, violation‑free driver’s license
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in daily routine and schedules
• Ability to follow directions and read transportation schedules
• Strong communication skills
• Motivation to perform assigned duties
• Ability to perform some heavy lifting

Job Summary

Provides transportation of clients to and from work, school, clinic/office, doctors’ appointments, and other program activities. Highway and city driving are required, and the role may involve extended periods of vehicle operation. The position also offers ongoing support to clients, therapy staff, and CSC staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and timely transportation of clients to and from work, school, clinic/office, doctors’ appointments, and other program activities
• Perform highway and city driving, including extended periods as needed
• Offer ongoing support to clients, therapy staff, and CSC staff during transport
• Routinely inspect vehicles for fluid levels, tire pressure, and general wear and tear, reporting findings to the Transportation Coordinator
• Pick up and deliver vehicles for maintenance and repair
• Cooperate with and assist representatives of state licensing agencies and accreditation bodies during inspections and surveys
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Program Director
