Driver / Transportation Manager

About the role

Ryder is immediately hiring a mid-shift Driver Manager in Conyers, GA, internally titled Customer Logistics Manager for our Supply Chain Solutions division. This role oversees day-to-day operations within an assigned function, responsible for all aspects of Operations and Account Management, including leadership of direct reports and attainment of daily operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Customer service satisfaction and expectation management
• Staffing performance management and development of exempt and non-exempt employees
• Manage day-to-day planning and scheduling
• Health and Safety Management
• State/Local/Federal regulations compliance
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components — intermediate required
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production — advanced required

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred
• Two (2) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required
• One (1) year or more direct supervisory/leadership experience required

Pay

Exempt / Salary paid twice per month. Annual salary: $70,000 based on experience.

Schedule

Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Additional hours and days as needed to support business needs, which does include possibly working additional days during peak season.
