Driver Trainee

About the role

The Driver Trainee position involves learning all aspects of the Delivery Department standards and working towards obtaining a Class A CDL, potentially leading to a future role as a Driver. This role requires assisting the Driver with deliveries and merchandising of beverage products, ensuring superior customer service, and adhering to safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Delivers the customer-purchased product to assigned accounts
• Stocks coolers and shelves neatly with product, ensuring proper product rotation
• Picks up all empty cases and kegs at respective stops daily
• Ensures adherence to all safety policies and Company policies and procedures
• Communicates with customers and co-workers for superior customer service
• Reports and resolves all customer service issues internally and externally
• Documents all accidents, incidents, and injuries in the delivery function
• Self-organizes and completes tasks within committed timeframes
• Able to adapt to changes and overcome obstacles

Requirements

• Must be 21 or older
• Valid NYS Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record
• At least 2 years of general employment experience, including 1 year of related driving or delivery experience
• Ability to work additional hours as needed
• Responsible use and maintenance of company-issued equipment
• Complies with all company policies related to uniforms, safety footwear, and PPE
• Uses and maintains company-issued equipment properly and responsibly
