Driver - Tractor Trailer

Job Summary

A_ CDL A Driver _at White Cap… Coordinates and delivers products to customer jobsites using a tractor-trailer or straight truck with a GVW over 26,000 pounds. May use a truck-mounted forklift (Moffett or Piggyback) to unload shipments at customer jobsites. Follows DOT regulations in accordance with vehicle maintenance and operates with a strong emphasis on safety. Ensures that manifests and all paperwork are accurate. May assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment. Has a Class A CDL license with a minimum of one year of experience. Performs other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers products to customer jobsites using a tractor-trailer or straight truck with a GVW over 26,000 pounds.
• Makes use of a truck-mounted forklift (Moffett or Piggyback) to unload shipments at customer jobsites.
• Fulfills DOT regulations in accordance with vehicle maintenance and operates with a strong emphasis on safety.
• Ensures that manifests and all paperwork are accurate.
• Assists warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment.
• Performs other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Has a Class A CDL license with a minimum of one year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) certification
• Two years of commercial driving experience compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations
• Forklift certification
• Spanish language proficiency

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Attractive shifts: Monday-Friday, no nights, weekends, paid holidays and more.

Qualifications

Must have a valid Class A CDL license with a minimum of one year of experience. Must be able to pass a drug test and background check. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work in a team environment and follow company policies and procedures.

Skills

Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are essential.
