About the Role
After notification of resident or community staff transport needs, you will create and maintain a schedule to accommodate daily transportation. A calendar of all transport plans will be kept to prevent conflicts. You will perform QA vehicle inspections before each use according to policies and procedures, maintain required safety logs for each transport vehicle, and ensure routine maintenance is carried out. A maintenance schedule for each vehicle will be established and upheld. You will assist residents in safely loading and unloading packages, ensure all residents can safely and independently enter and exit the vehicle, and perform Concierge and Maintenance duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate daily resident transportation
- Maintain a calendar of transport plans to avoid conflicts
- Perform pre-use vehicle inspections and maintain safety logs
- Ensure routine maintenance is carried out on all transport vehicles
- Establish and maintain a maintenance schedule for each vehicle
- Assist residents with loading and unloading packages
- Ensure safe and independent entry and exit for all residents
- Perform Concierge and Maintenance duties as required
- Complete other assigned duties
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid state Class C CDL Driver’s License for operating a large passenger bus
- At least 21 years of age with good moral character and a genuine concern for elders
- Clean driving record and ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Training and documentation of skill checklist completed prior to transporting residents
- Willingness to work with department directors, residents, visitors, family members, and the community
- Ability to plan, organize, and follow up on work assignments
- Ability to make independent decisions and work well under pressure
- Flexibility in performing different tasks
