About the role
The CDL Driver Technician role combines commercial driving responsibilities with hands-on technical service, providing a unique opportunity to work both on the road and in the field.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate DOT-regulated vehicles to transport equipment and materials to customer locations
- Perform field service, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities
- Interact directly with customers, identifying and resolving equipment issues
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Ensure equipment is operating efficiently and reliably
- Equipment-specific training will be provided
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain a Class A or Class B CDL with applicable endorsements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card
- Clean driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport for cross-border travel, if required
- 0–2 years of technical or field service experience preferred
- Mechanical, electrical, diesel, fusion, or related technical experience is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office and smart devices
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot equipment issues in the field
- Ability to identify and address potential safety concerns
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, MVR review, and DOT physical
- Ability to safely operate vehicles on overnight and long-distance routes as needed
- Understanding of vehicle weight limits and load distribution principles

Travel Requirements
- 20%–80% travel depending on business needs and assigned territory
