Driver/Stockroom Expeditor

This Warehouse/Driver role at Applied Industrial Technologies has an immediate impact on our Service Center performance and customer satisfaction. It’s a great opportunity for someone with warehouse and customer service experience, good data entry skills, some knowledge of industrial products, and an interest in career growth.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver orders, ship and/or receive materials, and maintain stock areas and inventory.
• Use strong customer service skills when interacting with customers at the Service Center and during deliveries.
• Perform various warehouse duties: receive and verify incoming materials, prepare sales orders, stock supplies, and ensure accuracy.
• Work from a daily schedule, work orders, verbal, and written instructions.
• Operate motor trucks, hand and mobile lift equipment, simple hand and power tools, weighing scales, and postage meters.
• Drive a company vehicle to pick up and deliver orders, equipment, and mail; sort assignments and arrange efficient routes.
• Assist in counter and telephone sales, order pulling, and customer calls as needed.
• Partner with the Service Center operations team to provide first-class service, grow existing customer business, develop new customers, and meet or exceed monthly sales goals.

Requirements

• 1+ years of proven customer service and warehouse experience, ideally in a distribution or parts counter environment.
• Basic computer skills, accurate data entry, math and mechanical aptitude, and basic reading skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR).
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and regularly lift 50 lbs. or more.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; sponsorship for work visas is not available.

This position is not eligible for relocation benefits and is expected to be performed on-site.

• Knowledge of industrial distribution products.
• Warehouse experience.
