This Warehouse/Driver role at Applied Industrial Technologies has an immediate impact on our Service Center performance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver orders, ship and/or receive materials, and maintain stock areas and inventory.
- Use strong customer service skills when interacting with customers at the Service Center and during deliveries.
- Perform various warehouse duties: receive and verify incoming materials, prepare sales orders, stock supplies, and maintain accuracy.
- Work from daily schedules, work orders, verbal, and written instructions.
- Operate motor trucks, hand and mobile lift equipment, simple hand and power tools, weighing scales, and postage meters.
- Drive a company vehicle to pick up and deliver orders, equipment, and mail; sort assignments and arrange efficient routes.
- Assist in counter and telephone sales, order pulling, and customer calls as needed.
- Partner with the Service Center operations team to provide first-class service, grow existing customer business, develop new customers, and meet or exceed monthly sales goals while increasing customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- 1+ years of proven customer service and warehouse experience, ideally in a distribution or parts counter environment.
- Basic computer skills, accurate data entry, math and mechanical aptitude, and basic reading skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR).
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and regularly lift 50 lbs. or more.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Knowledge of industrial distribution products.
- Warehouse experience.
