Driver Specialist (CDL)

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for performing and providing an efficient, safe and compliant transport of various purposes, including but not limited to bloodmobiles (buses), staff, supplies, and equipment. Maintains company vehicles and performs other duties as assigned while working collaboratively as a team member in alignment with the organization’s values.

Responsibilities

• Performs all assigned duties in compliance with organizational policies, procedures, internal SOPs, and external regulations.
• Ensures exceptional customer service to all customers.
• Maintains good attendance and punctuality per the attendance policy.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Drives and maintains company vehicles.
• Transports staff, supplies, and equipment.
• Assists with mobile preparation, staging, and setup (e.g., Bloodmobiles and Neighbor Island setups), as assigned.
• Maintains complete and accurate records.
• Reports all incidents and/or compliance issues to management.
• Safely and properly disposes of and/or cleans up biohazards, sharps, or contaminated items following OSHA and universal precautions regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent (GED) required.
• Valid in-state (Hawaii) driver’s license and CDL A or B license with Air Brakes Endorsement and acceptable driving record required.
• Driving experience in a business environment preferred.
• Professional, business-like appearance.
• Good attendance record.
• Able to adjust hours to meet community blood needs.
• Able to travel to outer islands, as required.

Pay

$22.22 per hour

Schedule
