About the role

We’re looking for a responsible and skilled Ready-Mix Driver to join our team. The primary responsibility is to safely operate the concrete mixer, delivering loads to commercial and residential work sites. This role requires navigating various conditions, including uneven terrain, and may involve handling and attaching extension chutes weighing between thirty to fifty pounds.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
• Ensure the safe and timely delivery of concrete loads to job sites.
• Adapt discharge methods to various site settings and conditions.
• Attach and manage extension chutes as necessary for precise concrete pouring.
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical soundness of the ready-mix truck.
• Provide outstanding customer service, maintaining a professional image for the company.
• Work closely with dispatch and other team members for efficient operations.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or B).
• High School diploma preferred.
• Must qualify as not prohibited in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Acceptable CSA and MVR record; no DUI/DWI in the last 5 years and no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to the construction and transportation industry.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
• Knowledge of traffic routes and basic truck maintenance skills (desirable).

Working Conditions

• Wear protective equipment and adhere to safety protocols.
• Work in diverse environments, including exposure to outdoor industrial settings and varying weather conditions.
• Physical requirements include frequent walking, sitting, lifting (up to 50 pounds), pushing, pulling, and climbing.

Pay

The expected base compensation for this position ranges from $32.19 to $40.12 per hour, depending on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
