Responsibilities

• Combines motor vehicle handling ability, communication skills, and patient/resident handling.
• Patient/resident sensitivity and confidentiality are a must, practiced at all times.
• Develops an understanding of the patient's/resident's physical and emotional status.
• Works with all ages of patients/residents.
• Safely transports patients/residents as scheduled.
• Maintains support equipment in good operating condition.
• Maintains appropriate records per DOT requirements and internal policy.
• Aware and communicates scheduling conflicts as needed or predicted.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Driver history must comply with Sanford driver qualification standards for insurability.
• Current valid driver’s license and meets all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category II drivers.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (certified within six months if not certified at time of hire).

Qualifications

Pay

Salary range: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour.
