About the role

Per-Diem Van Driver position located in New Windsor, NY. The primary duty entails conveying people on a van or other light vehicle between locations. The driver is expected to greet customers, help them enter the vehicle, and assist them with any special needs.

Responsibilities

• Convey people on van or other light vehicle between locations.
• Greet customers, help them enter the bus or vehicle, and assist them with any special needs.
• Keep the bus neat and ensure it is always in working condition.
• Check the vehicle before and after each day's run and note any issues.
• Be an expert driver and comply with all necessary instructions guiding the operation of the vehicle within the area.
• Possess exceptional customer service skills to relate effectively with passengers.
• Be friendly but professional when relating with passengers, meeting different kinds of people.

Qualifications

• Excellent driving record required.
• Some related driving experience.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
• Some weekends may be required.
• Bilingual English and Spanish speaking a plus.

Pay

$17.50/hr.

Schedule

Flexible per-diem schedule with typical hours between 6:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
