Driver - Part Time
About the role
The Driver plays a vital role in creating exceptional experiences for our guests. Responsibilities include providing safe, courteous, and timely transportation, greeting guests warmly, loading and unloading luggage, delivering professional service, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and communicating with various departments.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, courteous, and timely transportation for hotel guests.
- Greet guests warmly and professionally while assisting with opening and closing doors.
- Load, transport, and unload guest luggage with care and attention.
- Deliver professional, friendly, personalized, and engaging service.
- Maintain expert knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, shopping, entertainment venues, and transportation options.
- Provide recommendations and information to guests in an engaging and informative manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness.
- Ensure assigned vehicles are properly fueled and ready for service.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of assigned vehicles at all times.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance needs and promptly report any mechanical issues, damage, safety concerns, or required repairs to leadership.
- Assist guests with directions, hotel information, and special requests whenever possible.
- Communicate effectively with Front Desk, Concierge, and Guest Services teams to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Maintain a welcoming presence in hotel arrival and departure areas as an ambassador of the property and brand.
- Follow all departmental policies, procedures, service standards, and safety guidelines.
- Support other Guest Services functions as operational needs require.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record required.
- Minimum age of 21 years with at least five (5) years of driving experience.
- Previous luxury hospitality, transportation, chauffeur, valet, or guest service experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and guest engagement skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Knowledge of local roads, destinations, and traffic patterns preferred.
- Highly responsible, dependable, and safety conscious.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
- Ability to focus on guest needs while remaining calm, courteous, and professional at all times.
Qualifications
Physical aspects of the position include frequent standing and walking, frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and handling guest luggage and personal belongings, ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds regularly, frequent entering and exiting vehicles, occasional kneeling, bending, crouching, and reaching, ability to safely operate vehicles for extended periods, occasional ascending or descending stairs, ramps, and curbs.
