Description
TAS Environmental Services, LP is a provider of environmental services, serving businesses and municipalities across the South and Midwest. The company operates 24/7, providing services such as industrial cleaning, emergency response, hazardous waste transportation, and box rentals.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently, following traffic laws and regulations, and adhering to hours-of-service requirements
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is properly secured, and manage paperwork related to shipments
- Collect delivery instructions from dispatcher, verify instructions and routes, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report maintenance issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks
- Communicate with dispatchers and customers, maintain accurate trip logs, and document deliveries
- Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
- Transport non-hazardous and hazardous materials in accordance with applicable guidelines, DOT, and company safety procedures
- Assist in the removal of soil, debris, and cleanup of spill sites
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- CDL Class A License with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements
- Ability to read, write, and do mathematics
- Physical requirements: stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb stairs and ladders, lift up to 60 pounds, work in confined spaces, wear personal equipment including respiratory protection
