Driver - On Call

What You’ll Be Doing

• Transport law enforcement vehicles (patrol cars, specialty units) to and from departments and locations
• Travel both in-state and out-of-state as needed - South Dakota into Eastern Wyoming
• Perform detailed vehicle inspections (with photos) before and after transport
• Secure all equipment—lights, sirens, radios, consoles, cages—before moving vehicles
• Cookbook vehicle inspections (with photos) before and after transport
• Ensure vehicles arrive clean, undamaged, and ready for service
• Cookbook vehicle inspections (with photos) before and after transport
• Cookbook vehicle inspections (with photos) before and after transport
• Coordinate pickups and deliveries with internal teams and vendors
• Cookbook vehicle inspections (with photos) before and after transport
• Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Comfortable driving a variety of law enforcement vehicles
• Strong attention to detail—you notice what others miss
• Reliable and self-motivated—you get the job done without being chased
• Able to travel and respond to assignments within 48 hours
• Professional and respectful—especially when working with law enforcement agencies

Pay

The expected starting wage for this role is $20-21.00 per hour, with final wage depending on qualifications.

ADA Requirements

Bend, squat, climb, grasp, twist, reach, lift or otherwise move frequently for extended periods.
Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs frequently, or more occasionally.
Walk, stand, or otherwise move about continuously.
Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards including chemicals which may require respiratory protection.
