About the role

Drive a truck or automobile over established routes to deliver office equipment and products to client sites and between company branch offices.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver copiers, printers, paper, shredders, and other office equipment to client locations and branch offices.
  • Complete basic set-up and installation at client sites, including attaching finishers or side LCT trays and providing basic operator training on copy functions.
  • Communicate with clients to confirm delivery times and notify sales representatives upon completion.
  • Coordinate networked deliveries with assigned staff to minimize downtime and ensure a professional experience.
  • Update delivery manager on any issues and verify equipment ownership before pickup.
  • Operate stair climber to move equipment up or down stairs as needed.
  • Direct service complaints to the appropriate party.
  • Load truck following guidelines to ensure equipment arrives intact and in working order.
  • Record delivery and pickup information, including meter reads or printouts, on daily delivery records.
  • Obtain client signatures for pickups or deliveries.
  • Perform routine truck maintenance and keep the vehicle clean inside and out.
  • Assist in the warehouse with pulling hardware or supply orders and physical inventory.
  • Assist with PWT filter calls and meter collection as requested.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current driver’s license and access to a vehicle for job-related travel.
  • Valid certificate of insurance meeting company minimum liability requirements.
  • Forklift certification.

Work Environment

  • Frequent exposure to outside weather conditions.
  • Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions and moving mechanical parts.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 lbs; two people or a forklift required for weights over 75 lbs.
  • Requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus.

Schedule

Full-time, non-exempt position. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Pay

$20.00–$25.48 per hour.
