Driver - Mr

About the role

We’re looking for a reliable, safety-focused CDL Class A Driver to join our team. This position involves operating diesel straight trucks and tractor/trailers, picking up and delivering steel products, and maintaining professional relationships with customers and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate diesel straight trucks and tractor/trailers (roll-off, dump, and van trailers)
• Pick up and deliver steel products and materials to suppliers and customers
• Follow established procedures while ensuring full compliance with DOT regulations
• Read and work from invoices, shipping tickets, and electronic instructions
• Maintain accurate driver logs, trip reports, and inspection reports
• Assist with loading/unloading, secure loads properly, and ensure safe transport
• Perform routine vehicle cleaning and basic upkeep

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid Class A CDL (Tanker and HazMat endorsements are a plus)
• Minimum of 9 months experience operating large mobile equipment or hauling vehicles
• Comfort using smartphone/GPS technology
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office; SAP experience is an asset)
• Knowledge of traffic regulations and load restrictions
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Flexibility to work in various weather conditions
• Strong customer service skills
