Driver / Material Coordinator - Houston, TX

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspection reports.
• Make pickups and deliveries of parts and supplies in a company vehicle.
• Maintain truck on a daily basis.
• Load/unload all inbound/outbound freight.
• Assist shop personnel in the mechanic shop and yard as needed.
• Prepare material for shipment.
• Inspect warehouse equipment for proper operation and check all fluid levels daily.
• Maintain a clean workstation and secure all tools at the end of the shift.
• Know and understand Sparrows' Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Management System, Operating and Technical Procedures, and workplace instructions.
• Understand and comply with all safety and environmental requirements.
• Perform all other duties as required by the supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

HSEQ Responsibilities

• Follow the Company’s Policy for Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) and actively contribute to compliance and improvement of the Management Systems.
• Report any accidents, incidents, near misses, or potential issues with products, services, or systems to the HSE(Q) Department Manager.
• Adhere to country-specific health and safety legislation, including all Company policies, procedures, guidelines, control measures, signage, and permit conditions.
• Know emergency procedures and act accordingly.
• Ensure the health and safety of subordinates (if any) and visitors on Company premises.

Requirements

• Operate material handling equipment.
• Read, write, and speak English.
• Exposure to manufacturing or warehousing (beneficial).
• Good housekeeping skills.
• Valid Driver’s License and clear driving record.
• Ability and experience driving a truck and 28 ft. Gooseneck flatbed trailer as needed.
