Description

The Driver Manager oversees and manages a team of drivers, ensuring efficient operations, safety, compliance, and driver satisfaction. This role involves coordinating schedules, resolving issues, and maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

  • Supervise and support drivers in day-to-day operations.
  • Manage driver-related functions, including vacation and home time scheduling, employee relations, and claims handling.
  • Cook up and adjust driver schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to legal regulations and safety standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for driver concerns, addressing and resolving issues promptly.
  • Foster strong relationships with drivers to enhance job satisfaction and performance.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • An associate degree or higher in transportation, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in transportation or logistics management.
  • Previous experience managing drivers or logistics operations is highly preferred.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations.

Compensation

  • This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program.
