Driver/Maintenance Technician

The Retreat at Alameda Senior Living Community in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a reliable and friendly Driver/Facility Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport senior residents to doctors’ appointments and other destinations in a timely and disciplined manner.
• Load and unload wheelchairs and walkers from the vehicle.
• Assist residents into cars or non-CDL buses and help them exit to their appointments.
• Plan and research driving routes for scenic drives.
• Narrate during the drive, pointing out historic landmarks and sharing fun facts and history.
• Conduct complete pre-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Keep vehicles clean and vacuumed.
• Maintain a drivers’ logbook.
• Comply with road traffic law enforcement agency regulations and adhere to all safety requirements.
• Assist the Maintenance Director with general maintenance needs.

Requirements

• Driving experience with a company vehicle or company bus preferred.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (5 years).
• Clean background and drug-free lifestyle.
• Ability to plan and communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
• Valid driver’s license in the State of Arizona.
