The Department of Transportation is looking for a Driver License Examiner Assistant who enjoys helping people and solving problems. Responsibilities

• Customer Interaction: Greet customers and guide them through identification checks, application steps, and needed forms
• Testing Support: Administer vision screenings and knowledge tests to measure applicant readiness
• Data Entry: Enter applicant information, test results, and service transactions into on-line systems
• Service Guidance: Provide information on renewals, duplicates, REAL ID requirements, and commercial license options
• Policy Compliance: Follow fee waiver rules, customer service policies, and REAL ID regulations
• Safety Awareness: Monitor your surroundings and follow all safety procedures and reporting requirements

Schedule

• Full-time employment, 80 hours bi-weekly
• Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday through Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch
• Overtime and travel as needed
• No telework option

Qualifications

Minimum Experience and Training

• One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public

Other Requirements

• Must meet the PA residency requirement (see Residency Guidelines for details)
• Must be able to perform essential job functions

Legal Requirements

• A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports
• Selected candidate must undergo and pass a Fingerprint and Name-Based Criminal History Check prior to employment
