Driver Irrigation Technician - Maintenance (49926)

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs irrigation systems including replacing valves, fan belts, switches, and contacts.
• Makes sure irrigation systems are working properly by monitoring, troubleshooting, and testing them.
• Turns irrigation systems on and off as needed.
• Replaces or repairs irrigation valves, hoses, pipes, and sprinkler heads.
• Operates timers, clocks, and controls for sprinklers.
• Installs or repairs irrigation lines.
• Conducts and records detailed inspections of irrigation systems.
• May help with other maintenance tasks as necessary.
• Ensures proper care of equipment and supplies, and promotes safety and environmental practices.
• Uses hand and power tools for landscape and irrigation duties.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in irrigation system maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems, including valves, pumps, and controllers.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
• Good physical condition to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
