Location: Tucson • Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week) • 12-month work calendar
Shift typically falls between 5 am–7 pm, Monday–Friday. Other hours may be required as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, respond to, and maintain supervision of two-way radio communication
- Serve as a liaison between drivers, parents, and schools
- Perform a variety of documentation and other clerical activities
- Serve as back-up driver when routes cannot be covered by substitutes
- Knowledge of policies, procedures, and programs of the immediate work unit
- Principles and practices of administration and management
- Agency or program rules, regulations, and operating procedures
- Federal Communications Commission radio transmission procedures
- CPR, First Aid, and evacuation procedures

- Communicate information clearly so others will understand
- Create and maintain driver records
- ASL (American Sign Language) skills if working with deaf or hard-of-hearing staff/students
Requirements
- Current Arizona CDL with Passenger and School-bus endorsements
- Must pass FBI and State background check
- Must have or be able to obtain an Arizona Level 1 fingerprint clearance card
- Must pass post-offer physical
- Positions working directly with students must obtain Crisis Intervention Training (CIT), CPR, and First Aid certification
Pay
$16.78–$20.45 per hour
