Driver I

About the role

Responsible for safely and efficiently dropping off/picking up materials from various vendors and construction sites.

Drives delivery trucks to job sites and company destinations. Properly secures and straps down materials for safe delivery.

Loads, unloads, moves, stacks, stages, transports tools, supplies and equipment by hand or using dolly and/or forklift.

Distributes received packages to designated office personnel as directed.

Wash and clean department vehicles.

Sweeps, cleans, hauls trash and maintains work area in clean and organized fashion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years relevant experience, flatbed experience is preferable
• Valid Class A Driver’s license
• Ability to safely operate a company vehicle and equipment, such as forklift
• Knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical projects and related tools and equipment
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Customer-service orientation
• Attention to and respect for safety rules and regulations
• Ability to work efficiently in the warehouse and at the construction site
