Driver Helper - SYGMA- Orlando, Florida

About the role

Assist the delivery driver by unloading, checking the quality, and delivering products to customer locations.

Responsibilities

• Unload and check the quality of products at a customer location, rotate and verify produce quality.
• Drive to different locations to assist the driver with deliveries.
• Call in when a customer does not receive their entire order (shorts).
• Handle any customer complaints professionally.
• Handle company equipment properly, follow written driver safety rules, and perform a pre‑trip inspection.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience: Handcart and electric pallet jack experience.
• Professional Skills:
  • Proven ability to communicate articulately.
  • Ability to perform simple arithmetic.
  • Knowledge of the product delivery schedule.
  • Ability to assess product quality and rotation.

Physical Demands

• Frequent moving of product up to 50 lb during the shift; infrequent moving up to 80 lb.
• Must be able to climb on and off the box of the truck.
• Frequent bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling.

Work Environment

• Cold warehouse environment.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces.
• Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions (hot weather, rain, and extremely cold temperatures).
