About the Role
Assist the delivery driver with unloading, inspecting product quality, and delivering goods to customer locations.
Responsibilities
- Unload and inspect product quality at customer locations; rotate and check produce.
- Drive to various locations to assist the driver with deliveries.
- Report any incomplete orders (shorts) via phone.
- Handle customer complaints professionally.
- Operate company equipment properly, follow written driver safety rules, and perform pre-trip inspections.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience with handcarts and electric pallet jacks.
- Strong communication skills and basic arithmetic ability.
- Knowledge of product delivery schedules and quality/rotation standards.
Physical Demands
- Frequently move products weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally move up to 80 pounds.
- Ability to climb on and off the truck box.
- Frequent bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling.
Work Environment
- Cold warehouse environment.
- Work in confined spaces.
- Exposure to extreme weather conditions (heat, rain, and cold).
