About the role
As a Driver Helper Non-Formula, you will assist the Driver in every aspect of product delivery to our customers. You will ride with and assist Drivers in tractor trailers, tandem trailers, and/or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver and/or unload various products safely and on time, following Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. You will communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers, ensuring questions are answered accurately and promptly. This is a seasonal/temporary position with an estimated duration of 6 months, though it may change based on business needs. Seasonal employees may be considered for full-time roles if business needs arise, though conversion is not guaranteed.
Schedule
- Sunday–Friday, night shift
- Start time between 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM; end time is when the route is completed
- 40 hours or more per week
Pay
- $20.50 per hour
- $21.50 per hour if a CDL Learner Permit is possessed
Responsibilities
- Assist the Driver in the safe and accurate delivery of products to customers in a timely and efficient manner
- Load and unload trucks and/or company vehicles
- Place products in areas identified by customers
- Complete required documentation in a timely manner
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be able to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position
- Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift
- Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights, weighing between 10–35 pounds and generally up to approximately 60–90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout the shift
- Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
