Driver Helper - Days

Primary Responsibilities

• Rides with and assists Drivers in the tractor trailer, tandem trailer and/or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes.
• Delivers and/or unloads various products in a safe and timely manner in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
• Loads and unloads trucks and/or company vehicles.
• Places products in areas identified by customers.
• Completes required documentation in a timely manner.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• 1-3 years of related experience
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to apply general math skills
• Ability to work reliably from verbal and written instructions
• Intermediate computer knowledge and ability to learn/use computer programs on the job
• Ability to obtain certifications for use of powered equipment, such as forklift operation

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

• Regularly lift, carry, and position up to 10 lbs.
• Frequently lift, carry, and position up to 25 lbs.
• Occasionally lift, carry, and position up to 60 lbs.
• Stand for a significant period of time and walk continuously.
• Bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, or crawl.
• Operate and/or be certified on various powered equipment.
• Work in a warehouse environment exposing the incumbent to a variety of noise and potential extremes in temperature.

Pay

$16.00/hour
