Driver Helper

About the role

At Ferraro Foods, our Driver Helpers play an important role in ensuring products arrive safely, accurately, and on time. Working alongside our drivers, Driver Helpers assist with unloading deliveries, providing excellent customer service, and supporting the overall delivery experience for customers across the food industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist drivers with the safe and efficient delivery of company products
• Unload products at customer locations, including touch freight deliveries
• Accurately place products according to customer requirements
• Provide professional, customer-focused service during delivery interactions
• Help ensure products remain secure and protected throughout the delivery process
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles, trailers, and work areas
• Sweep pallets and clean the trailer and cab at the end of each shift
• Support inventory handling and product movement during deliveries
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Assist with additional transportation and delivery-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to lift 70 pounds or more on a consistent basis
• Ability to frequently walk, climb stairs, and navigate customer delivery locations
• Ability to perform repetitive loading and unloading tasks throughout the shift
• Strong work ethic with a dependable and reliable attendance record
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Customer-focused mindset with a professional attitude
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and temperature-controlled environments
• Commitment to workplace safety and following company procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in delivery, warehouse, logistics, or distribution environments
• Foodservice distribution experience preferred
• Experience handling touch freight and physically demanding work environments

Pay

$175 daily pay + variable incentive pay with opportunities to increase earnings

Schedule

Monday – Friday | Start time between 4:00 AM – 7:00 AM | Return time approximately 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM, depending on route completion | Saturday flexibility based on business needs

Environment: Local deliveries, warehouses, customer locations, and varying weather conditions
