Driver Helper

About the Role

We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic, energetic, and eager Driver Helper in Los Angeles. At DO & CO, we have a passion for hospitality and culinary delights, offering gourmet entertainment across our three business segments: Airline Catering, International Event Catering, and Restaurants, Lounges & Hotels. We operate in 33 locations across 12 countries and 3 continents, maintaining the highest standards of quality in both our products and services.

Responsibilities

• Assist drivers with loading, off-loading, pick-up, and delivery of goods and materials.
• Load/unload aircraft according to airline and DO & CO regulations and specifications, ensuring flights are always catered correctly.
• Ensure all vehicles are maintained in full working condition, including fueling and pre/post checks, and report any irregularities to dispatch immediately.
• Comply with all Airport, Airlines, and other applicable rules/regulations.
• Comply with food, safety, and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook and report problems to the manager and hygiene/food safety team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Supportive Functions

• Maintain a safe workplace.
• Disseminate general information to the public and other concerned parties regarding department policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Capable of working independently and in a team environment.
• Must meet requirements necessary to obtain airport ID.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Able to work in extreme temperature changes and noise.
• Majority of duties performed outside in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, move products, equipment, and supplies up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
• Must be able to work at heights up to 20-25 feet.
• Regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours.
• Communicate effectively with team members, ensuring clear and understood communication.
