Driver Helper

About the Role

As a Driver Helper, you will assist the Driver in every aspect of product delivery to our customers, ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods within America’s food distribution system. You’ll ride along on intrastate and interstate routes, helping to load, unload, and deliver products while representing our company and building customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Driver in the safe and accurate delivery of products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
• Load and unload trucks and/or company vehicles.
• Place products in areas designated by customers.
• Complete required documentation accurately and promptly.
• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers to answer questions and resolve issues.
• Function as a team member, performing any assigned duties to support the company’s goals.
• Adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations during all deliveries.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 6+ months of experience in a warehouse environment or interfacing with customers in the foodservice industry.
• Pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
