About the role
The Driver Helper position will assist the driver in the unloading and delivery of products on the route. This includes assisting with multiple stops, placing delivered products in assigned storage locations according to customer requests, ensuring accuracy and no damage due to mishandling, and adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Able to perform repetitive lifting of over 50 lbs. and occasional lifting of over 100 lbs.
- Absorb and follow Company’s safety standards.
- Represent Ben E. Keith Company with professionalism, maintaining a positive attitude and dress code.
- Assist in reading maps and directions with the driver.
- Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases.
Requirements
- High School Education/GED required.
Qualifications
- Driver safety is important to Ben E. Keith. Drivers must sign a driver consent form upon hire to confirm understanding of safety policies.
Skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- Good map reading and navigation skills.
