Driver Helper

Responsibilities

• Accurately load the daily route onto the truck.
• Scan the daily route onto the truck.
• Assist the driver with navigating to deliveries.
• Assist the driver with carrying freight into business or residence destinations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills

• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to read a map and general geographic knowledge of the area.
• Ability to lift 75 lb unassisted.
• Good customer service skills.

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, using hands, reaching, bending, and lifting objects above the head.
• Regularly lift/move up to 50 lb and operate pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Regular use of a phone and a PC; reading and writing various shipping documents.

Pay

$19 to $20 per hour (anticipated starting salary range). The company may adjust this range based on market conditions and location, and will work directly with the selected candidate on final salary.
