Driver-(Green) ANN ROAD LOCATION

Job Responsibilities

• Operate and safely drive assigned vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.
• Pick-up and safely transport goods to intended destinations.
• Ensure contents are properly secured to prevent damage or injury.
• Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries.
• Auxiliary in mapping driving routes and staying on predetermined routes.
• Communicate with dispatch as needed.
• Confirm that the contents of each shipment load match the manifest document.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Check weather conditions and road reports before departure.
• Maintain a clean vehicle throughout the trip.
• Log and service the vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, check tire pressure, perform repairs, etc.).
• Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered.
• Adhere to the company’s delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times.
• Comply with company rules and regulations.
• Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to weather and road conditions.
• Maintain appropriate paperwork and transfer merchandise between stores as required.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Experience operating large vehicles.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety compliance.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow schedules.
