Driver, Full-Time (26-27 School Year) - Juneau School District

Responsibilities

• Drives company vehicle to transport supplies, and food orders.
• Delivers, loads and unloads products, food and or equipment as requested.
• Assembles and sets up of catering orders at offsite locations in a timely manner.
• Washes objects by hand or with cleaning equipment.
• Cleans dishes, utensils, pots, pans etc. and places in assigned storage areas in a an organized and orderly manner.
• Maintains a variety of products at certain levels in preparation, serving, or storage areas including service machines.
• Stocks storage areas with various products.
• Cleans, sweeps, wipes down, etc. all general dining, kitchen, or storage areas (in some cases) and equipment as well as all floors.
• Removes garbage from assigned areas, sets up or breaks down tables, snack bars, display cases, serving lines, etc.
• Affords assistance with various periodically scheduled large cleaning projects.
• Affords assistance to cooks and others as needed and coordinates one’s own activities with other’s.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Municipality of Juneau Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe Certification contingent upon 30 days of hire.
• Six (6) months of food service experience.
• A valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS’ vehicle insurance policy.
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.
• One (1) year of catering or delivery driving experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, stoop, kneel, talk/hear/see.
• Infrequently required to taste/smell, sit, crouch or crawl.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
