Driver - Float

About the role

Easterseals NH is seeking a Driver - Float to provide reliable driving coverage and support departmental operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for scheduled and unscheduled driver absences.
• Provide safe and timely transportation for all assigned customers.
• Support drivers at various schools during periods loading or unloading.
• Assist with clerical and operational tasks related to scheduling, route planning, and dispatch.
• Review route and service delivery performance through ride-alongs and camera audits.
• Communicate well regarding any case management or service delivery issues that arise.
• Be available to work for/with other departments of Easterseals as requested.
• Perform courier service as requested.

Requirements

• High School Education, GED or related experience.
• Driving record within guidelines of MVCP.
• Able to obtain necessary certificates, permits or licenses as required for job.
• Relate well to persons with disabilities.
• Communicate effectively with staff and professionals.
• CDL optional, based on Agency need.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing schedules and priorities.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform Passenger Assistance Techniques.
• Experience with adaptive equipment for specialized transit.
• Knowledge of pre-trip inspection reports and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to communicate effectively regarding case management and service delivery issues.
• Availability to work for/with other departments of Easterseals as requested.

Pay

$23.50 hourly.

Schedule

May vary but generally Monday – Friday Morning – 6am-9:30amMid-Afternoon – 11:30am-1pmAfternoon – 1:30pm-4:30pm.
