Driver Escort - Project HEARTH

Description

Family Services’ Project HEARTH (Helping Elderly Adults Remain in Their Homes) is in need of dedicated volunteers to work with seniors living in the greater Norristown, greater Pottstown, and North Penn areas. Created in 1994, Project HEARTH links elderly adults who are healthy enough to live in their own homes with special support services that help them to remain independent.

Responsibilities

• Enjoy working with seniors
• Offer compassion and companionship
• Drive seniors to and from medical appointments, grocery stores, and other errands
• Use own vehicle
• Not reimbursed for mileage, but mileage can be tracked for tax purposes
• Select appointments to assist with based on schedule and availability

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Insurance
