Responsibilities

• Operates a state motor vehicle to transport clients to appointments and activities, deliver mail and messages, and pick up or deliver supplies, products, or materials.
• Transports staff and clients, assisting in their care and assuming responsibility for clients in the absence of assigned staff.
• Verifies descriptions and quantities of all items picked up or delivered.
• Performs clerical tasks related to the operation of a motor vehicle and related equipment.
• Exercises independence in performing responsibilities under general administrative direction.
• Observes, reports, and assists in recording changes in clients' physical condition, behavioral response, and emotional status.
• Assists in providing basic health care for clients, such as checking vital signs and applying simple dressings.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for client care and treatment activities.
• Assists clients in participating in activities (e.g., fishing, shopping, going to the movies, dining out).
• Assists clients with meals, bathing, grooming, and other personal care needs as required.

Requirements

• 0-1 years' experience.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Possession of a valid operator's license appropriate for vehicle assignment at time of appointment.
• Level One Med Aide certified.
