Duties/Responsibilities

  • Aid in transporting clients to and from appointments, housing placements, and other placement points.
  • Deliver and collect supplies and program documents from various BRC programs and DHS facilities.
  • Answer phones and handle program mail when driving is not required.
  • Greet visitors to the facility professionally.
  • Provide relief at various posts as needed.
  • Offer emergency first aid and CPR assistance when necessary.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • CPR Certification or the ability to obtain certification required.
  • NYC Fire Safety Guard Certification or the ability to obtain certification required.
  • NYC Fire Safety Coordinator Certification preferred; willingness to attempt certification required.
  • Security guard license preferred; willingness to attempt certification required.
  • Food Handler Certificate preferred; willingness to attempt certification required.
  • TB clearance when required.
  • Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness preferred.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries.
  • Basic computer literacy required.
  • Bilingual abilities a plus.
