Hepaco, a Clean Harbors company in Knoxville, TN, is seeking a Class A CDL Driver with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements to operate a variety of heavy and light-duty trucks and work equipment at customer sites. This role involves driving and non-driving duties related to hazardous waste clean-up. New hires are required to attend a two-week paid training Academy, which may be out-of-state, with all expenses covered by the company.

About the role
- Operate commercial trucks, including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll-offs
- Perform driving and non-driving duties on and off customer sites for hazardous waste clean-up
- Participate in emergency response on a rotating on-call basis every other week (by position)
- Attend a two-week paid training Academy, which may be out-of-state
Responsibilities
- Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes
- Operate a variety of Class A trucks and assist field laborers as needed in a team environment
- Load and unload trucks and perform manual labor to fulfill customer needs
- Properly placard vehicles to meet Company and DOT requirements and regulations
- Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports
- Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules
- Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state, and federal requirements
- Adhere to all corporate operating guidelines and procedures
- Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
- Perform site-remediation, equipment decontamination, and handle hazardous materials (by position)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
- Ability to use various mobile devices
- Perform physical functions as required by the job
- Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical (by position)
- Compliance with OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard (29 CFR 1910.34) for facial hair standards if respirators are required
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial driver experience
- Previous Hazmat and Tanker endorsement experience
- Ability to operate a manual transmission
- Previous manual labor experience
Pay
Recruiting pay range: $25.00 - $30.00 hourly
