It provides partner hospitals with a value‑driven linen management control system that measures and monitors linen utilization by department to eliminate excess internal costs. NOVO’s wide range of service programs offer a seamless, single‑source distribution system, and its regional healthcare linen facilities are HLAC accredited and operate with state‑of‑the‑art processing equipment and processes. We are currently looking for a Class A CDL Driver at our Atlanta Healthcare Laundry facility. The ideal candidate is confident in decision‑making, can act quickly, and has excellent communication skills, ready to commit to measurable performance and continuous improvements.
Responsibilities
- Collect finished carts: roll the carts from the Load Building area to the back dock.
- Load the delivery truck by pushing the carts onto the back of the appropriate truck.
- Deliver clean linen products to customers.
- Transport soiled linen back to the plant.
- Follow all federal, state, and local requirements according to D.O.T. rules and regulations.
- Follow all OSHA rules as they apply to blood‑borne pathogens.
- Coordinate daily activities with Transportation, Plant Managers, and Team Leaders.
- Must be able to adapt to change and unscheduled events.
- Maintain vehicle, perform preventative maintenance, keep it clean, and disinfect after transporting soiled linen.
- Will work rotating shifts.
- Understand, observe, and adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
- Assist and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Class A CDL required.
- Clean driving record.
- High school diploma or GED; formal education/training preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge and willingness to learn new computer applications.
- Good analytical skills to determine the number of carts required for orders.
- 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or a service industry.
- Previous experience as a driver.
- Ability to work in a noisy, fast‑paced environment.
