Driver (City)

Position Overview: This role involves picking up and delivering freight between service centers and customers, supporting sales efforts, and ensuring timely, safe transportation. Key Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles/triples and straight trucks.Perform daily safety and pre-trip equipment inspections.Hook/unhook trailers and convert dollies, secure freight with straps and pallets, and handle damaged cargo.Complete documentation, comply with hazardous materials regulations, and collect freight charges.Communicate with dispatch, customers, and sales teams to coordinate deliveries and solicit additional business.May perform tire chaining, road driving, or dock duties as necessary.Adhere to all laws, regulations, and company policies. Qualifications & Skills Valid Class A CDL with double/triple, hazardous materials, and tank endorsements.At least one year of recent driving experience or completion of a driver development course.Clean Motor Vehicle Record and compliance with DOT regulations.Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, perform basic math, and follow instructions.Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team. Working Conditions: Drive in various weather and road conditions, with exposure to noise, dust, diesel fumes, and hazardous materials. Flexibility in hours is required.
